A Romanian man whose penis was severed by a surgeon during an operation, is planning to sue. The surgeon himself has
appeared in court in the capital Bucharest where he's accused of serious bodily injury and medical malpractice.
The patient
was being operated on for a testicular problem when the surgeon allegedly cut his penis into three pieces. The 34-year-old
man who is married with a daughter, told ProTv television he will sue the surgeon who "made him 30 years older and changed
his life completely". The man's due to remain in hospital for another three weeks. Surgeons say it will be three to
four months before they can try to rebuild his penis. If found guilty, the surgeon could face up to two years in jail.
