Story
Set in the late 19th century, monster hunter Dr. Gabriel Van Helsing is summoned to a mysterious land in
East Europe to vanquish evil forces... evil forces with names like Count Dracula ,the Wolf Man , and Frankenstein's Monster
(Hensley). Assisting him once he gets there is Anna the heir of a long-running family committed to hunting down and destroying
Dracula
High Points
The high points were definitley the action and the direction. On some things mind you. Dracula's hellbeast
and whatnot were not good decisions. The new Werewolf transformations were howevere. The acting was okay...and the script
was bleah...though it's clever one liners saved some of it. There really isn't much else...except for the bringing back of
the classic horror characters such as The Wolfman, Frankenstein's Monster, and Count Dracula.
Low Points
The low points include story and special effects. I felt that the creatures were far too cartoony and it
was a little distracting. The story...well...it's stupid. It's a half-assed putogether story that intertwines scifi into the
story more than need be. Dracula can't have sex with his brides to give birth to hundreds of tiny vampire bat things. That's
just fucking stupid....go away Brian Sommer and never return.
I give Van Helsing a C+
